Join us for a two-and-a-half-day Advent retreat exploring Mary’s relationship to Jesus as a hidden-in-plain-sight illumination of the Christian path of engaged non-attachment.

Following the Gospel texts and the poetry of Khalil Gibran, we will discover Mary’s robust and courageous embodiment as a joy-filled teaching and invitation to shelter, germinate, release, and sow the seeds of Christ in our own lives as service to the whole.

This retreat will take place in person from Friday, December 3, 2021 through Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Mustang Island Conference Center in Port Aransas, Texas.

  • Retreat begins for in-person participants with lunch at Noon on Friday, December the 3rd and will end at 5pm on Sunday, December the 5th. Retreatants are encouraged to arrive anytime before Noon on Friday, December 3rd in order to receive welcome and settle into the physical space of the conference center.

  • Cost covers two nights stay at conference center and all meals from lunch on Friday through lunch on Sunday.

  • Retreat includes co-teaching from Rev. Jonathan Steele and Fr. Benjamin Thomas, guided contemplative exercises from the 4th Way tradition, and a general Benedictine structure of Ora et Labora and shared silence-with a closing eucharist celebration on Sunday afternoon.
